Just throwing this out there in the event that someone is looking to move one along. I'm interested in a Lewis Leathers Super Sportsman in size 42. Send me a PM if you want to discuss.
I got the Regular. I've read people saying the regular is too short...In my view that is not correct. I would only recommend the Long to people who are very tall and very long arms. I don't like overly long sleeves.
Any know of how and where I might be able to get my paws on a Flathead "Rider" model and/or a McCoys "Steinbeck" model...Or better yet have one to sell? I need a 42 or 44 or "Large" or "XL" +/- depending on measurements. Thought I'd throw it out to the group. Thanks regardless.
Hi Gang, I'm feeling good about my new ELMC Californian. I've spent the last year learning about (mainly from the good folks on this board) and buying leather jackets. Some I liked, others I didn't. I think I've cycled through 8-9 jackets at this point. And I believe I have finally arrived where...
Its's a beauty...It reminds me of my Norshor. My Norshor is more of a Californian style...but the leather color and overall look is just like it. Trust me guys, the Norshor's are F*ing amazing!!
That jacket is awesome. My only complaint is the three zipper pulls...Makes it a little busy in my view. Kind of like the law of diminishing returns...1 zipper pull may look better than 3. I wish I had a Mulholland! Enjoy it!!
fyi gang, I posted my Erich Hartmann (tagged 44 fits like a 42) on ebay. I love the jacket but was recently gifted something very similar so its available. Plenty of pics as well. So far no bids, so if you want it PM me and I'll take it down from ebay and perhaps we can work out a deal. Regards...
To anyone eyeballing this jacket...I own the exact same one (I even did a short write up on it so look it up here on Fedora Lounge). I will tell you to BUY IT NOW!!! The jacket is second to none! Good price too!
Thanks for your kind words. Yes, this jacket is far better in person than in pics. Seems weird that that these sellers don't do a better job giving folks a better real-world look at their products.
The jacket appears to fit you well. May I ask how tall/short/fat/skinny you are? Sorry to be so personal but based on your answers I can be interested.
The chest pockets are great. The zippers work very well! The little pockets in front are essentially worthless...Sort of more for style. Easy to wear is the key for me. Slipping a jacket on and off easily enhances the ownership experience for me. If you like the looks of this style you will love...
Hello Gentleman, I just received my Erich Hartmann jacket. Purchased from History Preservation (by the way, Charles the rep is terrific to work with...A real class act). I'm pleased with the jacket, the mid to lighter weight "Capeskin" is luxurious and sort of velvety, very pliable, not stiff in...
Hello Gentleman. I recently acquired this jacket and while I LOVE IT, I've come to the realization that I may have a couple too many jackets at this point. The jacket was handmade by Dave Sheeley (a top-tier maker in my view). I think its called "pre-war half-belt". I've worn it twice so it is...
Interested! May I ask you to describe your personal size (height, weight, build) and how the jacket fits YOU? Also, is the zipper in good working order? Sorry to be so personal but this matters to me for comparison reasons. Thanks in advance!
