Sweatband and Glue...?
I used silicone adhesive to repair the sweatband on my new, vintage (?), Resistol Dalworth. The band had torn almost half way around the hat on one side at the perforations from the stitching. The Eleven Dollar Resistol
That's what I was thinking feltfan; 60s or 70s based on the price tag of $20. I'm wearing it today. It's great. Light weight and very comfortable. I'll probably wear it all summer and send it off for repair in the fall when I switch to my wool fedora for the wet, cold weather.- Orvil Newton

I HATE HATS!!!
Good Manners... ...and civil behavior are in short supply these days, I find. I do my bit though. Always tip my hat to the ladies, remove it when indoors (Unless under arms of course) etc.- Orvil Newton
