Arrived yesterday at noon. I haven't taken any photos yet but it is exactly as shown on ebay. The hat looks beautiful, like it has never been worn! there are no stains or moth bites or any other blemishes at all. I snapped the brim and wore it all after noon strolling around Friday Harbor with my wife and her Dad. The fit is almost perfect, corrected with a couple of business cards under the sweat band which I later swapped out for a thin strip of foam.

The hat is definitely old. How old I hope someone here can help me determine. There is a paper label inside the sweat band that reads: Style, Dalworth, size, 7 1/8, price 20.00, color, Canyon, brim, 2 5/8.

There is one problem though :(

The sweat band has torn at the perforations formed by the stitching where it is joined at the back and along the left side to about two inches from the center in front. I suppose the only fix for this is to send it to someone for a new sweat band. Anyone here have any suggestions? I really don't want to give up the hat for several weeks just now. I won't be wearing it once winter sets in but it is perfect for the Pacific Northwest summer.

I'd guess 60's, just off the top of my head. Nice hat, great price.

Why not just wear it as it is for now? Looks pretty functional.
Unless it's uncomfortable, wear it and get it fixed when you feel like it.

That's what I was thinking feltfan; 60s or 70s based on the price tag of $20. I'm wearing it today. It's great. Light weight and very comfortable. I'll probably wear it all summer and send it off for repair in the fall when I switch to my wool fedora for the wet, cold weather.
