A new (to me) vintage lawyer's briefcase

Gee, don't know how I missed that thread, I'm still having some trouble learning how to search this forum. No, not Hartmann, unfortunately. No name anywhere, not even on the locks. The only marking is an impressed "Saddle Leather" in a shield on the bottom of each piece. The set is in such...

    Playboy Motor Car Corporation memorabilia

According to the all-knowing Wikipedia, Playboy Motor Car Corporation was a Buffalo, New York-based automobile company, established in 1947. The company only produced 97 cars before going bankrupt in 1951. Goodwill's auction website has some original photos and bulletins from this company up for...

New Ladies and Gents Step Forward

Greetings everyone, I've posted several times and I thought I'd tell you a bit about myself. My name is Donna and I live in suburban Detroit. I've long enjoyed treasure hunting at thrift stores and like to incorporate small vintage bits and bobs into my home decor. Naturally, I also noticed...

Your Genuinely Vintage Shoes (old, not repro)

Hello ladies, I'm Donna. I recently registered here at the lounge to learn more about a mens Stetson hat I acquired. I collect and deal in vintage womens clothing. I'd love to wear it, but women back them were so petite and I am not! Anyway, these shoes are not mine but they ARE my...

    Vintage Hunting Clothes

Nice stuff! I've got several pieces but I think this is my oldest... I'm just not sure quite how old it is. Help is appreciated! I can't find out much about Super Dux but there seems to be an association with Carhartt. My camera doesn't do well with reds. This coat is a nice deep color.

    Alexander Hats

I get that, of course. Somehow, I thought the company was out of business or taken over by the 60s or so but now I'm not sure where I got that idea.

    Pre 1940s Stetson Westerns

I'm always curious about the pieces that pass through my hands. In researching further into Stetson Boss Raw Edge hats, I'm now understanding the the Boss Raw Edge name is a quality designation and it came in several different shapes. How can I determine the shape of the hat?

What do you do for Living?

I'm a licensed Respiratory Therapist currently working as the clinical supervisor at an asthma and allergy center. But my most interesting past occupation? Treasure hunter. Yes, really. Many, many moons ago, I worked for a deep sea treasure salvaging outfit based in Key West, FL.
