I always like the last option :)
Again, you're very welcome, glad to help. 1.5 years ago I was just learning about good quality leather jackets and my first quality jacket purchase was a Schott 618 Perfecto. Still wearing it hard to this day, it's broken in beautifully.
Again, the 141 is a...
The beard is looking AWESOME, Cole! So is the jacket, it's really starting to look a wellworn A-2 jacket that has seen many vistas. That patina, stunning...
Check your other thread ;) this issue has been discussed in many threads, and the fact is they are all among the top tiers in the leather industry. I say start digging through this forum, there's more information here than you'd think! A "langlitz schott aero" search will do.
I highly recommend Langlitz. They make your jacket completely to your measurements (as far as wrist & neck circumference, 100% custom). They can even add padding (extra thick layer of leather, serves as armor) to the shoulder and elbow areas. I say go with the goat, it's soft but extremely...
Awesome idea for a thread!
Back in June of last year, when I had just gotten my Schott Perfecto, a heat wave hit my country. I was head over heels in love with my Perfecto and I simply refused to take it off. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy for wearing a leather jacket in that weather...
I believe I have seen a J107 with a Buco tag, or a "repro tag" so to speak. Real McCoy's uses them as well on their Buco J-24 repro. I don't know if RMC does license the Buco trademark, however.
I'll be stopping by to say 'Hi' and check out some great jackets during my visit to Seattle next summer :) ! I have some questions regarding the Aero J106. Can the Aero J106 be made with the Buco tag instead of the Aero tag? And if so, is there an upcharge involved? Also: is the J106 made to the...
Well said. These bad boys are meant to be worn and enjoyed, and when you look at them after 30 years of wear and you see all of those scuffs and stains, you think back at the great times you had wearing it. That's the great thing about leather jackets: they withstand the test of time, only look...
Oh wow xD talk about misinterpretation! It does seem an odd place to place a zipper, but it does look neat! LL, would that be Langlitz? Because my Padded Pocket Columbia has the sleeve zippers in the usual place.
Keeps the wind out while riding & allows for a longer leather glove to be zipped inside the sleeve making for better protection. Also, a zipped up sleeve that sits very close to the wrist offers better protection than the end of a sleeve that just sort of bangs around your wrist.
