I agree, you can always buy another jacket in a few months. Whatever jacket you buy from the companies that have been mentioned, you will be far, very very far, from disappointed.
I'd say getting the Chopper as your moto jacket is a dynamite choice. I think getting both jackets is a great...
Great excuse for me to come to Canada! The wife joke is without a doubt the most common joke here on the Lounge... And I still can't get enough of that joke. About those three jackets: I already have my next 2 jackets completely figured out. After the J106 it's going to be a 38-1711-p. Will...
Can I get an award? :D
Will definitely put up a review along with pleeeenty of pics! There are so very few decent customer pics of this jacket on this forum (the J106 customer pics on this forum are very nice, though. There just aren't that many pics), so it'll be up to me to change that.
Johnson Leathers' website does not do their jackets and their quality justice. Don't take another look at their website (except for contact info) and look up Johnson Leathers on this forum. You will find some of the most amazing jackets you'll ever see. They do great work and will do highly...
Lovely jacket! If the top picture was taken recently, you certainly haven't worn it a lot in the past dew years! Are the three jackets in the last picture all yours? I love the brown one.
Damo, how's that jacket ordering working out with everyone here suggesting different jackets that weren't even part of your original decisionmaking process? ;)
Outlaw, you should be happy with a "special" jacket! Schott made me fall in love with quilted lining on jackets, though. So cushiony...
I wouldn't expect it to make for serious damage to your jacket in the far away future. These imperfections are what make leather jackets so great and a natural product... You also can't expect the hides to be 100% scratch free, smooth and identical to eachother. Just go with it man! I personally...
I hear that, louder than I can hear the sound of my own drums-- and I've been told I drum excruciatingly loud. This is why I love the Lounge, to share and embiggen a passion. Long live leather and long live the Lounge!
Not just nice jackets, but a lot of jackets! Sometimes I'm just surprised by the amount of styles they have to offer. I think a Stallion just might be my ultimate riding jacket, or a Cobra Mark II. Their prices are indeed not so steep when compared to the £££'s of Aero jackets.
Hi Carrie, is the Aero J106 the same jacket as the jacket specified in this thread: http://www.thefedoralounge.com/archive/index.php/t-55011.html
Wade calls it a Buco J-24/Buco J-71/Indian Ranger hybrid. Also, can the J106 be made with the Buco J-24 passenger pockets or would this completely...
And you're saying that's not much of a story? Could almost be the plot of a summer flick, if you ask me! The childlike stubbornness, gladly giving the jacket away, and a decade later wanting it back more than anything... Being aware of your childhood stupidity, I think it's great and sort of a...
Damn, I can hardly believe there exists something such as a size 62... Looks like a killer jacket. But as far as I know, the Model B has a bi-swing back and therefore is very rider friendly. Only thing that isn't rider friendly is the length, especially in the front. Can't zip it up while on my...
Thank you, Damo! I have to say it is quite an achievement. Basically as soon as I can afford another jacket, I buy one... Great thing about my age is that I can spend all the money I earn any way I want to, no rent or children that need to be paid for!
I'd say go with Vanson. Off the rack is...
+2 on everything stated above.
Vanson jackets are killer, I only have a Model B but now that it's breaking in I can tell how tough and indestructible this jacket is. Their competition weight cowhide is thick and luscious, and it makes me wanna get more Vanson jackets in this incredible leather...
