I would say that there are two boots that epitomize the U.S.
The cowboy boot and the engineer boot. Both are light years away from the RM Chelsea (great boot BTW)
I've found that leather dressing with beeswax (Pecards or Obenaufs) on the stitching and seams will quiet the squeaks.
But when the dressing dries, the squeaks return to a lesser amount.

Shoulder and pit to pit work OK for me but the waist and length just make it uncomfortable to wear.
Made in 2006 or 2016, just not worn.
