Hey all!
Can you help me ID this jacket? I don't know when it was made, and how much it's worth.
I don't know what can i show you to help you... It was obviously worn a lot, and there a lot of work to restore it. Is it even doable? I don't wear it (yes, still wearable), i'm thinking about selling it.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks a lot guys

Look inside the pockets for a tag with the model number. That's the easiest way.

There should be a tag inside the change pocket. Could be a one star but I cannot see any markings of a studded star on the epaulettes. The belt buckle also can help narrow the era but definitively a pré-80's Schott.

Looks like a 70's 618. Even if you restore it, it won't sell for much more than it would now as it is. These chewed up Schott jackets sell, there's always someone thinking they'd look cool in a beat up, old Perfecto so you can easily move it. I've always sold mine. Had this 613 in a really horrible state and it sold within couple of hours for $200. But it was a very beautiful jacket! Vintage 613's earn the highest $ because they really do fit better than literally any other cross zip on the market. They're most rock 'n' roll, short and fitted and you can't get that sorta cut anymore.

Problem is, there's a difference between the tags i find on the net and the one i have :
I deduce that's it a late 70's early 80's... But my tag isn't on this reference picture...

Your jacket has the non-tapered body and the rectangular rear panel with low-mounted belt. Which means it's older. How old? Well...

Older? well, do you know the value of that jacket maybe?
See what Monitor posted above. Unless something is really old, like 50s or something, and/or in great condition, then it's not a big payoff. Start checking e-bay regularly, there's always a bunch of Schott jackets listed, and keep an eye on the older ones which have the same/similar details as yours to see what prices they sell for.

thanks a lot.
Problem also, is that i have the feeling that the tags is not standard or has been modified. I can't find a similar one anywhere on the web.

Don't overthink the tag. It doesn't mean much since Schott has been using more or less the same brand-name tag for 20 or 30 years and all it takes is one seamstress on one shift to sew the tags on a bit differently and all of a sudden you've got a hundred jackets with tags that aren't exactly the same as the others. I had an older Cooper A2 jacket for a while and its tag configuration/positioning didn't match any others I'd seen but it was a genuine Cooper.

Anyway, thanks all for the answers!
