    The original has a serious front drop too: I assume an original would have been proportionally shorter back then and the drop would have been less of a problem. On this one we went with my usual 25" back and that gives a slightly too long front. On the other hand, had we gone for a 24" back...

    Thanks. Nope, i insisted he used the Corozo buttons i had sourced for it on the remake. The mother of pearl where a "free upgrade" i had not asked for and i wasn't a big fan of it. I have to say that looking at both the LW and the Fields i think the silhouette of the LW is closer to the original.

    +1 For the full refund, the fact that the QC was happy to ship this leads me to believe they don't really care about their products, i would ask for a full refund and leave it at that.

    I really like that they are now finishing the thin end of the pockets with a double stich that is symmetrical, it looks much better than what they used to do when i ordered mine a few years ago.
