That's definitely the same jacket, i wonder if they have Lightning autorization to use these pictures?
Ironic considering how fast Andy is to threaten people with lawsuits...
He would have only known if he was a leather jacket nerd like we are...
I learnt recently that Greg isn't actually that interrested in leather jackets, he doesn't wear them, doesn't collect them, doesn't know much about the vintage ones...
He knows how to use a sewing machine to stitch leather...
I don't like the looks of the A but i don't like the comfort/fit of the Aero.
My choice woult still be the Vanson as i think it will be a more comfortable jacket to live with and i value that more than looking good.
This is indeed a horrible job, i would have refused to pay for that... Actually, the "specialist" really owes you money for a new jacket!
How are people like that in business?
If i thought like you i would never get to wear too many of my jackets.
Everytime i leave the house with my Leathertogs B or my Grizzly my GF rolls her eyes, everytime i tell her she is free to walk 10 meters in front of me and pretend she doesn't know me.
It works for us...
I have two modern lewis leathers, a Dominator in cow and a Racer Mk2 in horse and i have to say i don't really use them for riding.
They both lack a a windflap, causing them to baloon in the back above 60mph.
I also don't really trust them, the stitching isn't bad but the leather seems very thin...
Honestly this is the peak of shaving technology, everything invented after that was marketing BS to get you to spend more money on razors:
The quality of the blades you get in that setup is much better than any Mach 3/5 or however many blades they use now. It's also much cheaper in the long...
Oh, those are different tools, the Wahl isn't a shaver, it's a trimmer.
You'll never get baby butt smooth with a Wahl super taper, even without a plastic guard on there will always be 1mm of hair left.
Similarly, i doubt you could cut your hair with a rotary shaver, you would have to first trim...
I tried to convince my GF to get this for months but she said i could look like a bellhop on my own...
I hope it went to someone who will appreciate it, it's really a cool jacket.
As Will said above, the used market is definitely worth considering, i have bought more used LW than new ones.
The whole "LW never break in" is BS, that was written by peopl who never wore their jackets. Saying that, be aware that LW leather won't "patina", the leather is chromed tanned, with a...
Without a doubt it is worth it.
I said my first LW was 1650$ base price, that's not actually what i spent, if you add up the extra fees (Long size, Crown zippers and belt) that jacket was 2740$, it was the first LW i bought, the most expensive jacket i had ever ordered and it is still one of my...
Get a Wahl super taper, they are super tough, i have been rocking the number 2 buzz cut for a total of 20 years and have had two trimmers, the first one lasted 15 years, the second one is 5 years old and still rocking.
I usually cut my hair every 2 weeks and could not imagine paying someone to...
Most companies have been increasing their prices consistantly.
My first LL in 2013 was 475GBP, i ordred one for my GF in 2015 that cost 575GBP, they are now around 940GBP.
My ELMC Californian was 850 GBP in 2015 (includong Long size fee) it is now 1199GBP (without Long size fee).
My first Lost...
I would not pass up a deal for 1.5".
Keep in mind that the cascade has a back dip and the back measurement can look huge on paper but is usually ok on the body.
For example my LW jackets have a 25.25" back but my Columbia has a 27.5" back and fits just as well.
25.25: LW
27.5 LL:
