Really nice jacket.
I am most impressed by the progress @regius has done with his stitching.
I remember the first few things you made where pretty wavy and uneven, this one looks like it could have been made by John Chapman or Greg Fields.
Well done.
Here, just snapped these, as you see it is much better after my scissor work:
I just can't see myself paying 800$ to fix that, it feels ridiculouse.
Also, considering this hide has a very soft top coat it is going to show wear at the edges of the lapels super fast, once the sleeves...
I spent a few hours cutting off all the little top coat flaps and buffing the scratches, they are now almost invisible unless you really have your eyes right on them.
I have decided to leave the jacket as it is. I am pretty confident that in a few months it will be almost impossible to see.

I don't actually know what to do about this.
Stuart still has some hide so he can change it, but it is going to cost around 500$ plus shipping both ways.
Not sure what to do, either call it character or go crazy and pay the man.
I'll give you the pockmarks, i was mostly refering to the scar.
Pockmarks are not the best, but IMO withint a month of wearing that jacket both "issues" would be mostly invisible.
I don't get it, she has been surrounded by jackets for years, has never even looked at them, slept on them, done anything to them and now this... WHY THIS ONE?
I disagree, i would say that 90% of my jackets have at least one mark similar to what is pointed out by the OP.
Skin has scars, leather jackets are made from skins, leathersjackets have scars, it's normal.
I agree that an imperfection that has depth, ie a nasty mosquito bite, that does a weird...
+1 to that. You are not entitled to a partial refund, you are not entitled to a free exchange.
They sent you a jacket that doesn't have any abnormal defect and to try to get a free return, exchange or discount is IMO a crappy attitude to have.
Keep the jacket or return it at your own cost, but...
I wouldn't mind. Scars are cool, chicks dig them.
Wear the jacket for two weeks, you won't see them anymore and you will have made at least one scratch on it, that should take your mind away from the scars.
I'm not sure calling it "less interresting" is fair...
Sure it is different, it won't gain patina, but it will show grain like few others do.
For example, most TFL users would agree that Dav's highwayman is the most broken in Aero on TFL, and probably the best example of patina on CXL:
Even...
I do complain about my LaBreas not being weatherproof!
I have said multiple times that for me the Freewheelers where "dress jackets" not really funcional jackets and that i would never wear either on the bike.
To me they are jackets i wear when "going out", not every day jackets.
Windward fit pics:
Personally i haven't had any problems with the pockets, i think they do the job.
My only real problem with the jacket is that the lining makes it a winter jacket, but the leather isn't weatherproof which is IMO a bit contradictory. I think it would be a more useful jacket...
Been wearing my new to me Suburban.
It's i think the jacket with the largest carbon footprint in the world.
IT was made in NYC, shipped to Canada, sold back to a lounger in NYC, then it went to Holland, back to Canada and then back to Belgium, it's final place of residence.
It's a really nice...
@ton312 i am sorry for the pain i am about to inflict on you...
Here are pics from my recently received moose hide Ryder, it hasn't seen rain yet but is slowly starting to crease.
This is one of my favourite LW patterns, great comfort, great range of motion, made even better by that soft and...
