Just to clarify, I think it looks great! I agree that's a lot of "D'oh" to spend on any jacket, and boots these days are not far behind that number. Heavy CXL question
CXL FQHH is a tough nut to crack. I've owned several and my only one currenlty (the Indian Ranger) is showing tons of teacore all over now - microcracks in the top coat). It's interesting but it's not smooth and supple like, say, Vanson Competetion Weight Steerhide (from pre 2000's at least)...- AeroFan_07

Fit check on my first leather jacket
Well, for a first leather jacket you did a great job nailing the fit on both a difficult pattern to fit and a brand that isn't always easy to get the fit correct with, since most of thier offerings are off the rack.
