Guess I was on the hunt for a Vanson this evening?
Heavy Vanson Highwayman with fur collar - looks like an early production one by the tag. More of a find than a deal at $510 or best offer. Size 42 and had quite a bit of usage so far.

Another larger size Comet - excellent leather and condition on this one - however note the Sleeve Zippers have been Removed!! Size 54 and 27.5" pit to pit. $350

Also some very nice looking, grainy Competition Weight Cowhide. Here is a cheap way to get an idea of this leather:

So I'm late to this party.
However the conversation on leathers is ongoing and becomes sort of like the "Ford Mustang Verses Chevy Camaro" comparison. (using a USA example here) It is a very personal thing that simply comes down to your preferances.
I personally like a jacket to be a bit of...
+1 on congratulaitons to Edward for his weight loss! Amazing work there and so totally worth it. :)
For perspective, I take a set of 50-lb dumbells every two weeks or so and carry them the full peremiter of my fitness gym. Why do I do this seeming useless lift after a normal workout? It's...
For those looking for this style of jacket - Kater Karlo is the real deal - a great seller and honest here. I bought a jacket from him a few years back and it was nearly better than new condition as a used jacket.
Claybertrand - sharp jacket & nice catch there. This description slighlty perplexes me: “Fabric has Discoloration/Marks/Fading from Authentic Use. Distress Along Seam/Fabric Edges. Size is an Estimate. Please See Photos for Details and Measurements Before Purchasing, Thank You.”
I would be...
Just to clarify, I think it looks great!
I agree that's a lot of "D'oh" to spend on any jacket, and boots these days are not far behind that number. But to get something that you were not expecteing, well, that isn't always fun is it? Not to mention that the seller does not offer returns...

Well, for a first leather jacket you did a great job nailing the fit on both a difficult pattern to fit and a brand that isn't always easy to get the fit correct with, since most of thier offerings are off the rack.
My first several jackets were nowhere close to this level of fit. Agree there...
