The trousers could be lowered maybe a half inch with the cuff retained, 1.5" if you lose it. The pants have maybe 1.5" in the waist to let out.
This is a really fine suit, but the size is impossible for me.
Two button jacket, Amalgamated union tag places it in the 50s. Note the self waist and belt loops, cuffs, pleats, patch pockets. I am not seeing any damage.

Perhaps limit amounts going in? For an expected 20 or so, maybe have 24-36 cans or bottles of beer and a couple of bottles of wine, and plenty of non-alc things to drink for those who don't want to drink the others. Plenty of snacks should keep things level, along with the presence of a priest...

How so? Too small? Too big? My head is 24 & 1/4" BUT is misshapen. I believe I am the longest oval Art Fawcett has ever built a hat for. Any soft hat, unless oversized, will have a wavy, stretched brim on my head.
