Thoughts on Toyo's (Buzz R, Sugarcane, etc.) 'Bronco' horsehide?

Well, it looks like SC 80384 is my next jacket then. ;)

Thoughts on Toyo's (Buzz R, Sugarcane, etc.) 'Bronco' horsehide?

Thanks for that; yeah, I'm in the process of parting with a too-small Rainbow Country halfbelt in Shinki, and was looking at the Sugarcane halfbelt as a replacement.

Thoughts on Toyo's (Buzz R, Sugarcane, etc.) 'Bronco' horsehide?

Hello all, I'm wondering if anybody has any experience/feedback on the Italian veg-tanned 'Bronco' horsehide that Toyo uses in many of their jackets, namely Buzz Rickson's and Sugarcane? From what I gather it's a very soft leather, and in some photos almost looks sack-like. Any thoughts are...

Regarding reproing this one, I wonder if Whitefeather Mfg. Co. would be interested. It's certainly up their alley.

Yep, the Dunhua area is jam-packed; Take5, US Country, May Club, Authentic, Black Venom, Faith Co, The Thurs, Groovy, plus the Red Wing and LVC stores. I can't think of anywhere outside of Japan that has that kind of concentration in such a small area. :D

It's tiger stripe camo; first made in Thailand and Vietnam and then used by US military in Vietnam. A few brands repro it now, notably the Real McCoy's and Buzz Rickson's.

OK here's Lightning's little pictorial on using hot water to help with shrinking/creasing, in this case on a Jelado A-1:

Lightning also has a how-to on showering the sleeves with water to help with creasing too, I have that in one of the big leather jacket issues.

I think it has more to do with the width of the sleeves. If they're narrow, or you size down to get them narrow, they'll crease. Otherwise they won't; my Lost Worlds Ryder will likely never display these crazy creases because the sleeves are relatively wide. On the other hand, take a slim jacket...

Buy a pair of Sugarcane or Warehouse jeans, wear them, and they will eventually look like a pair of incredible vintage jeans. ;)
