I think it could be about 1" shorter in the sleeves and body length, but after seeing the side view, it looks pretty good to me. Is that the jacket you are buying, or a size fit jacket from Thurston Bros.? If they give you a good price on that specific jacket, I would go for it, it does look...
Vincenza! I'm curious to know how much thicker the V-HH is than the goat. I have a goatskin jacket and after seeing the pics of the V-HH am getting the fever!!
[QUOTE=Fanch; BTW I completely agree with your assessment of the Vicenza HH being fantastic stuff
You guys are killing me with this Vincenza HH, I must restrain myself, I need another jacket like I need another ear or nose!!:eeek:
Not looking for anything now, but when I ordered my 30's HB I asked if they could make the collar (standard sized) a little smaller and they would not do it. No big deal, though, the standard collar size is fine, I just wanted it to be a 1/2" shorter![huh]
When I was on the Aero site and looking at the Premier jacket I thought it looked the same as the Seabiscuit, but thought it was maybe the way it was photographed. It is just laying differently!
I noticed the XL collar on that jacket when I was watched the movie. Thought to myself "nice jacket, bad collar". Aero is spot on with this design though. The good thing is that there are MANY designs that they offer for us jacket addicts. Seems like the vintage designs just had larger collars...
The Seabiscuit is a combo of the 30's HB,- Dustbowl(back),and- Wayfarer(sleeves). Nice jacket, just tell them to put the normal sized Aero collar on it!!;)
I do like the belted cuffs on the jacket, and thought the movie was really good. There were a lot of nice vintage wool jacket designs in that film also!
