I’ve just discovered McNeill (Germany), veg tan leather satchels - their vintage leather ones look great check out eBay for those on good condition with all the straps - replacements are either impossible to buy or are tremendously expensive to have made. They don’t seem to make them in veg tan...
This just arrived - listed and labelled as a G1. It’s pretty close to the ANJ3 I’ve been trying to cosmically order. I got it for a reasonable price owing to a couple of ‘stains’ which turned out to be starch based so an easy clean!
My vintage ‘Cambridge’ satchel. There’s now a firm called Cambridge Satchels or something similar which scuppers any attempt to Google search to find a vintage Cambridge style Satchel - I believe the name of the style predates the company and I’m pretty sure this vintage n.o.s. Bag predates...
It’s scuffed on the tops of the arms but otherwise is in nearly new shape. I’m pondering applying a light coating of Pecards, but I’m wary of darkening the leather however temporary that would be. It weighs a healthy 1.6 kilos too.
It’s ‘only’ a Gap trucker but it’s a wonderful piece of Cosmic Ordering. All the recent talk of natural undyed leather got my juices going in a search for a natural trucker and I got this one from eBay for a mere £42.39. Happily it was described as ‘beige’ which I’m sure cancelled out much of...

Fiebings do a number of leather finishes such as their ‘Resolene’, which are acrylic based. It’s possible that it has been treated with one of these or a similar product?
@HudsonHawk To me it tastes better than Bud and the usual culprits and there’s not a lot of choice in the U.K, when it comes to US beers - what beers do you prefer to drink?

I too only ship insured tracked and signed for but that wouldn’t have changed this issue. Customs are holding the item awaiting duty to be paid by the owner of the goods ie the buyer.
I shipped a Moulton bike to Thailand using DHL, a few years ago and received emails from Customs demanding...
Unless they were talking degrees Fahrenheit rather than Celsius/Centigrade. In which case they were recommending 480 deg.C when they said 900deg F. But that’s still a bit hot for pizza as 450deg.C is best.
