    It’s bespoke insofar as you pick a style, hide, liner, etc. You supply your measurements and the jacket is tailored.

    I wouldn't avoid the Himel Northlander (it's quite a different jacket from the Orvis Transcontinental, which is really a budget off the peg version). The process of ordering from David Himel would result in a bespoke jacket.

    I really like the concept of the Transcontinental and the Northlander. I bid on an Orvis Transcontinental on EBAY and I very nearly picked it up (the seller declined my final offer). It would have been slightly too large by my estimation. However, in retrospect I'm glad that I saved the money...
