Jenny,
Please give us an idea of the minimum number of hats you need to order to make this project happen. Then, I think we can all start putting our money where our typing is. I'm committed.

I agree with gtdean about keeping the brim width the same. The Campdraft/Open Road is a classic design because of its features: brim width, narrow matching ribbon, and matching brim binding. I'm in favor of keeping the classic features and just upgrading the felt and sweatband to Heritage...

You're absolutely right about Jenny. She has always been a big help to me when I buy from Hatsdirect. And, Jenny, welcome aboard. We are glad to have you!
If the siverbelly Campdraft in Heritage becomes a reality, I'll keep my regular CD, remove the liner, and wear it for spring and summer sweaty bummin' around, at least when the Georgia heat and humidity allow. I want it to acquire a good old-fashioned Depression-era, workin' man look. It's so...
I think we have all probably received the email from Hatsdirect, and it looks like we will get some input regarding trim colors and details. For my part, I would like to have it just as it is now; after all, that's the reason we all like the Camp Draft. So, I'm for having the ribbbon and bound...
Back around page 175 there was discussion of the possibilities of getting enough orders for Akubra to make some Camp Drafts in the Heritage quality felt. I'm all for that! Personally, I'd like to see them start with the traditional silverbelly color. With spring and summer approaching, I'd...
As I tell my writing students, Chandler, as the writer, is God creating, for all practical purposes. The writer chooses and crafts every word, action, and detail. He could have also chosen to specify the brand name of the man's shoes if he wanted. Details add specificity which automatically...
I have the grey one (from Noggintops) and the brown one (from Hatsdirect). As others have said, they are the softest Akubras, very light and luxurious. The brown one from Hatsdirect came with a beautiful red liner. They are shorter brimmed (about 2 1/2) maybe with the one-inch ribbon, so I...
I own the Bushman plus several Camp Drafts. The Bushman's brim is wider, and although the crowns are the same (I think), the Bushman's seems shorter. The Bushman's color is a little darker than the taupe fawn Camp draft. I love them both.
"The Greatest Show on Earth," the circus movie with Charleton Heston and Jimmy Stewart is a good fedora movie. Stewart's hat becomes an interesting part of his clown outfit, and Heston's hat is almost always on his head. His character, by the way, is proof that the fedora, leather jacket, and...
Previously listed, price reduced for quick sale. Both bought new in November, barely worn, just not my style. Previously priced at $110 and $90, now priced to go, go, go at $90 for the Banjo P. and $75 for the Cattleman including shipping to lower 48. If someone wants both, I'll take $160. I'm...
Both barely worn. The style just does not suit me. (More of a Camp Draft, Sydney, and Bushman head on me). Banjo Paterson, 61, fawn. $110 includes shipping to lower 48.

Both brand new in November; barely worn, unaltered, both size 61. Lawson is the dark or chocolate brown color. Cattleman is fawn. The style just doesn't suit me. Lawson sells new for $150. I'll take $110 including shipping to lower 48. Cattleman sells new for $120. I'll take $90 including...
Since this thread has taken a turn toward music, check out a fellow lounger (me) at www.cdbaby.com/cd/andydenny and give me all the strange comments you want.
Thanks,

I've been wearing hats since 2004 and never get any comments, which is actually fine with me. I live in Georgia and my wife and I just spent Saturday through Monday in New York City visiting one of our daughters. We walked the streets, rode the subway, and roamed from 150th street to Soho to...
