If permissable, I am relisting these hats; I was unable to edit my original post to reflect the lowered price. For sale are 4 like-new Akubras, barely worn, all size 61. The plastic caps have been neatly cut out of the liners; there is no factory liner in the Kokoda. All prices include ground...
Here are two Akubras hard at work. The bass man is the Lounge's own Dundee, sporting a Campdraft in Taupe Fawn, and I am playing the guitar and wearing a Federation IV in dark brown.
All right, I have too many hats in the house. These are boxed just like coming from the vendor and ready to go, just sitting and cluttering up my house. They've got to go. Last price cut:
Lightning Ridge: $100 shipped. This is a $175 Heritage quality lid.
Angler (brown): $75 shipped...
Regarding your sizing questions, the Lightning Ridge and Kokoda seem to be a "big" 61, the Kiandra is a somewhat tight 61, and the Angler and the Coolabah seem dead on.
Well, friends, once again I have acquired a few hats I don't need because they just don't suit me, but I just didn't know until I tried them on the old noggin. Therefore, my buying errors can be your buying gains. Note: the plastic caps have been carefully and neatly cut from all hats. All...
You know, Brando, you set me to thinking, and I had to agree. Not for sale. I'm going to keep it. Now, let's see...that's a Campdraft, two Kiandras, a Lightning Ridge, a Bushman, Cattleman, an Angler, and a Coolabah and a Kokoda on the way. I need another hat rack.
Maybe I've just never had a good straw hat. They seem scratchy, and the poly ones and poly-coated ones seem heavy. I'm in Georgia, and I can wear a vented, unlined felt hat outside. i can't work in it such as yard work, but I can walk around in it. For working, I wear a well-used Tilley...
It can be done. Here I am yesterday in high 80's temps with my grandson on a train in Blue Ridge, Georgia, in my Akubra Cattleman in sand, no liner, with 3 vents on each side:

Later, he needed a nap...
Okay, I have finally accepted the fact that the Campdraft is NOT the style for me. For sale is a brand new Akubra Campdraft Deluxe in Heritage felt in silverbelly, size 61. It arrived in June. I dry bashed it gently, put it on my head a few times, never wore it outside the house, and hung it...
Snug...I don't know. I wore a 60 for years and then decided that a 61 felt better. These aren't loose, but it's impossible to say they would work for you without trying them on.
Got too many hats that I don't wear. For sale are 3 Akubra Campdrafts, all size 61, clean and worn very little. Colors are Taupe Fawn, Silverbelly, and Bluegrass Green. All are teardrop/diamond bash, dry-bashed. Easily changed probably. $100 each includes shipping to lower 48. Edit: I have...
My order is in.
You know, when this campaign is accomplished, we should put our heads together and design and order a special "Fedora Lounge Fedora" styled to our specifications and have Akubra make them and put a special "Fedora Lounge Limited Edition" or something similar on the sweatband...
Bought last spring and both have been washed twice each per Tilley instructions. Both in size 7 5/8. No defects, I have just been wearing a cotton duct T5 Tilley since 2004 for summer weather and prefer it. Photos on request. $40 dollars each plus $5 shipping, or $80 for both, shipping...
Requiring an 88 minimum hat order with over half being 62 and larger, I think we may be dead in the water here, guys. Let's ante up numbers and sizes:
Picker: one hat, size 61.
