I took delivery of my grommet zippered dark seal Japanese HH Heron this week and I couldn't be happier with it. It is a great contrast to my Good Wear Ventura as far as the fit and overall look goes. The hide is thick but pliable and it will take some time to break it in. I really do not like...
Here is a WWII contract John at Good Wear also offers. The Bogen is a great design for someone with wider shoulders and upper back but you have to limit seconds at the buffet it is still a trim jacket :-) By far the best repro Navy jacket and A2 for that matter is Good Wear and very much worth...
The button version is really nice and I have to agree it has more of a vintage look. I have an ELC A1 which i really like. But I thought the grommet zip version in HH might be more practical in the long run.
Here are a few pics Himel sent me when the jacket was finished other than the button holes. Take my word for it, it is a very nice jacket.
These are a few pics I took
I took delivery of a Heron last month in dark Japanese HH and it was unfortunately too small but the remake should be here next week. I really liked the jacket and the quality was excellent. This jacket is a very nice compliment to my GW Ventura because they are so different in fit and style...
Sorry about that. You guys were talking about boots and I saw these on a blog this weekend. They are made by Himel Bros. Thanks for putting up all the links to the Japanese jacket sites. They have some very nice civilian jackets.
