I have a decent camera and could not capture what the true color is. In certain light the hide looks black and with direct light you can see the brown. I hope John and Himel keep offering this hide.
The pics turned out really nice. This has to be one of the hardest hides to show the true color. The fit is perfect and John did a fabulous job as always. Enjoy!!!!
The Ventura that I sold recently had more red in it. The Ventura on this thread is a little more brown in color. John hasn't had that shade of russet for a few years now. It sure is a beautiful hide.
The hide color is actually dark seal with red undertones. Some panels show a little more red than others. The jacket is a little over two years old now. Here is a more realistic pic of the hide.

It is going to take a lot of wear Dave. I had one of his B3's for a short time and I do not have a clue the type of tanning he uses to get that outer shell so hard. But pics of older broken in shearling jackets of his look really nice. Your ANJ turned out very nice. Enjoy
