That is a great idea, I will need to do some thinking on the shelf spacing; I think you're right. I'm also going to make some hat stands on the lathe, just tall enough to raise the hats, maybe even adjustable in height. Thanks all for the good words !! Mr P. I have placed cotton bags of Cedar chips inside, 2 on each shelve. I also put a 2x2 Cedar block under each hat. However I am thinking of lining the inside and the shelves with Cedar to make it more like a Cedar Chest. But the bags and blocks will suffice until I get to doing that. Also...- Cane Rod Maker

Old Book Case
I have a few ceadar bags in on each shelve. I also have some 2x2'' Ceadar blocks, not enough for under each hat but I will pick up a few more so they all have one under. Thanks !- Cane Rod Maker
