Borsalino Alessandria
I picked this up about a month ago; just getting around to posting it. Darn I love this hat. I see what all the hype is about on the older Borsalino felt.
I dry creased this hat with ease. It amazed me how easily it will shape, and how well it holds the shaping...
I would assume that with a block, you can take a western, say with a Cattleman's crease, and re-block it. I ask because I just got a block, flange and stand and want to try doing a few conversions before I make a lid for my self. Any imput appreciated. Thanks !
I'm a 7-3/4 and I find that size very rare to come across on E-bay, especially older ones. You can try posting a WTB classified ad and you might get lucky. At any rate, if the 7-3/4 is a bit snug for you, just get yourself a cheap hat strecher and open the lid up to your size. You'll need to...
Yes the sweat is vented. So the pug belongs, very good, thank you. Yes neat Pug too....I need to clean it, 2 spots in it that will most likely come out. How do we clean a pug???

Wow, that really sucks. You would think he would have returned it or immediately said that is not mien. Sorry to hear about the loss of such a fine lid.
I have been wearing one as long as the weather has permitted me to do so; and I do wear one every day to work; but now that I finally got a vintage straw in my size, I finally have year round opportunity.
Good information, I'm not ready to buy anything yet, but if I do, and I will...I have a starting point. I'd be curious to know if you get one and the quality of the sweat. Thanks
I think I can re-block with this too...?? So if I get hats with big brims near my size; my hopes are I can re-block; I will lose brim width of course, but if I can get hats to finish up with 2 1/4 " + in brim width; I'll be very happy.
Just need a flange I guess to shape the brims after the...
