Personally, while being a fan of vintage, that is a look I try hard to eschew, as it would make me feel like I'm wearing a costume or going to a theme party. A few vintage items or accessories added here and there, is more my thing, as I feel it adds that vintage flair to the whole outfit.

Apparently, in 1986, a person attending a REM concert wearing the same Adolf Hitler European Tour t-shirt was asked to leave by Michael Stipe.
Crazy, I know!
Does anyone know where I could find waxed canvas tall spats (I think they are called "gaiters")?
Looking for traditional ones with side buttons and under-the-foot strap, but all the ones I found are elasticized and ugly. They are used for hiking, hunting, horse riding and such.
I don't know, I feel answering questions about the stuff they sell is part of the duty of a good seller.
Several times I got black-listed and blocked by sellers for asking (reasonable) questions about their items. I guess they felt I was too nit-picking for their tastes. Screw 'em!
When I was around 20, and going to bars/clubbing, I would often wear the following outfit:
ripped up jeans, off-white sportcoat with sleeves rolled up, bright "Pink Panther pink" shirt tucked out and with the collar over the jacket lapel.
I still have nightmares about this.
When I was in high school the only footwear I would wear were DocMartens boots. Then I switched to Chelsea boots and only wore those for a few years.
Now I have a piar with Dainite soles. In my head they are more desirable than leather soles on Chelsea boots, for some reason.
Thanks all for the replies.

Hey folks,
even though I don't wear a tie that often nowadays, I always liked the subtle sophistication of collar pins. I am talking about the safety pins-alike ones that clip your shirt collar together and pop your tie knot slightly up.
I may be wrong, but I think they have some military...
I quite like them and have a few. I like their rustic feel.
Although I did get a comment several years ago, when in a bar playing pool wearing blue jeans, white ribbed henley shirt, and brown suede leather jacket, that I looked like an Amish...
What do you recommend for lighting? I normally use two short wooden matches, one after the other. Sometimes wax matches.
I have a briar-wood pipe and a corn cob pipe, and usually smoke the latter. I see corn cob pipes as disposable, because they usually don't last me more than a cople of...
Great!
Let us know how they are hands on.
Did you order your regular waist size? Their customre service told me they wear pretty slim so I was thinking of sizing up.
Bringing back this overalls thread to ask you...
...Do you folks know who still makes HERRINGBONE bib overalls? About the only ones I've been able to find so far are overpriced Japanese products. What do you think of herringbone overalls anyway?
There is one about my size, new old stock "Big...
