    Bow Ties

l'm thinking of making a real big change in my appearance. l want to ditch ties completely (l hate them) and go for the more convenient bowtie. l want to make bowties part of my signiture style but am alittle scared to take the plunge. What do people say about your bowties? Good comments...

They are some very good questions. Santoni widths can vary alot....it all depends on the last. Some are narrow and some are wider. ln regards to length, l can't positively tell you if they are true to size or not......wish l could tell you....i'd buy Santoni off ebay too. l get my Santoni's...

    Blundstone Boots

My partners down at my beach house at the moment. l'll tell her to bring my Blundstones back so l can take a picture of them to show you all. ln the 90's Blundstones hit a peak. Everyone wore them. Blundstone workboots were trendy......every second girl and bloke wore them...

    Blundstone Boots

Globalisation is heavily destroying the aussie manufacturing industry. ECONOMIC TALK ln the late 80's, Australia had a really promising economic growth in the manufacturing industry. Academics [wrongly] predicted strong growth for many years to come. But, they underestimated the tragic...

    Shoe Repair

How often would you wear the Aldens? l always get shoos repaired or resoled well before time.....don't wanna risk damaging the welt.

    Shoe Repair

l have alot of shoos so resoling is extremely rare for me. l have only had one pair resoled, that was last year and done at a local cobblers. l will send my better shoos back to the maker. The pair l had resoled was an R.M.Williams chukka boot (Simpson model). They are a muck about pair of...

l've been getting more tighter fitting shoos too. The Santoni Wholecut and the tan shoo above have a glove like fit....they grip to my feet really well. The Grenson Masterpieces l have are tight fitting [in most areas] but the ankle area is not as snug as l would like in any of them. The...

That's the major problem with shoos....all the good ones are very costly. l will have to post some pics with an outfit. l get the trees from a local factory. l just go into this huge leather merchants factory and climb the high shelves to get what l want:eusa_doh: . No service...

Very harse chemicals in KIWI.......alittle bit too harse for use on fine shoos [l would think]. Wax does seem to dry the shoos too.....l feel it might cause premature cracking (wax seems to suck the moisture out of the leather). l also feel that the dry wax residue (hard powder) could eat into...

    Some of my favorite shoes

l love the Aldens. Wish l had a pair of Shell Aldens....unfortunately i'll probably never have the pleasure of owning a pair. A pair of C&J Shell Onslows are high on my list.

    Awesome shoos.

These two shoos are Borrelli handmades (crafted by Sutor Mantellassi). Reduced down from $1,600.00 down to around $675.00. Excellent shoos with a beautiful norvegese construction and lots of apparent handwork. (Click on pictures to enlarge) Beautiful classic italian soles...

Custom Allen Edmonds "Chestnut" Spectator Wingtips

l've been delaying my answer [on purpose] because it is tricky to explain. Just go around and compare the higher end shoos to the lower end ones. You'll find that bottom level J&M's and many of the Florshiems will have a really shiney leather with no pores in the leather. The grain corrected...

Farragamo Trezza also have a nice pair of Ostrich wingtip spectators. l have my eye on them, waiting for a drop in price before i'd be strongly tempted to buy them. (lt's not black, it's dark brown with Ostrich). http://www.salvatoreferragamo.it/web/othhome.html

    Johnston and Murphys Spectators

lt's lucky you live over in your land. Australia has no such bargains. AE and J&M are as rare as hens teeth here. Lobb has been priced out of the market here, and Church has disgusted themselves to almost extinction here. The best made shoos in Oz are Santoni handmades (tan sock), followed by...

    Johnston and Murphys Spectators

Buying nice shoos can get VERY addictive. l know what it's like to lose control. lf it wasn't for my girl, i'd spend alot more on shoos. One year l bought nearly 20 pairs at an average of $500.00 - 600.00 Aust each. l'm a real shoo junkie....shoos and women are my drug. lol

    Let's talk about...shoes, baby!

Florshiem quality is now disgusting. Many of the expensive designer shoos (Gucci, Prada, versace) are overpriced for the quality too.

    Let's talk about...shoes, baby!

Just because something is bespoke, it doesn't mean that the garment has to contain any handwork. Bespoke [in Oz] means that an individual pattern is drawn to a persons specific measuements, customer chooses material, and the customer chooses a style. Bespoke can still be stitched/sewn by a hand...
