Though not entirely wearable this is the first one I've ever seen on eBay. Could make a nice conversation piece.

A little pricey, but it's a rare example of the '40s smaller lapel style.

It's mis-listed as being from the 1920's but the BIN is still a bargain.

The man standing next to Roosevelt is wearing a suit that looks like the precursor to those late '60s mod suits. Though at the time the photo was taken, he was probably just a fan of the old Edwardian tailoring.
Sort of like this one
To me the Golden Era is 1890-1963. The Vietnam War is what ended it in my opinion. Regarding the old days were better than now mindset, my old college professor, who was born in 1934 made this profound statement, "The old days and now are neither better or worse, they're just different".
I dunno, I kind of like the matching set. Then again, I've only seen Disney wear this kind of casual wear at his studio/home and most likely if out and about only on the weekends. I've heard in interviews that he was very much into dressing casually but still wanted to always be presentable...
Blue is your friend! It was a very common color throughout the golden era and there's plenty of examples out there! It's also the second most versatile color, at least in my book. Everyone else said pretty much what I would've said. I would recommend to study up on dating vintage clothes as that...

The BIN price is an absolute steal! I would've snagged this myself but the pants are too small

What kind of jacket is Robinson wearing here? It has the specs of a tuxedo jacket, cloth buttons and no lapel buttonholes, but the light grey tone of it and his patterned bow tie make me think otherwise
Walt Disney wearing a "leisure" suit having a chat with Robert Benchley from "The Reluctant Dragon" (1941). Great color I might add!
