Ladies, what are you doing this evening?

I ran a couple of errands after work and then came home and made dinner. Now I'm playing online and watching X Files on Netflix. I never got to see it in the '90s. There were many times during that decade when I didn't have a TV, didn't have one that worked, was not home, or whatever.

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

I just finished Meet Me In St. Louis. I'd been meaning to order it for years and I finally own it.

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

So here's something minor that turns my business away from clothing sites: not everyone in the '20s went around in evening gowns or those ridiculous costumey flapper dresses and feathered headbands. People did wear day clothes. Every time I go to a repro clothing site and punch in 1920s...

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

Tonight or Never. Nothing Gloria did will compare to Sadie Thompson in my view, but I do like watching her. She did have a face, even in the talkies.

Ladies, what are you doing this evening?

I've been driving around surrounding towns because now that I have a car that's safe to drive I CAN. But now that I've finished my supper and it's getting darker I'm going home to do laundry, take down Christmas and put up Valentine's day (theme: colors are red and chocolate brown & I'll use...

I hate jeans. I think they're only appropriate for mucking out stalls. But that's just me.

Ladies, what are you doing this evening?

I did some shopping after work and then went home to clean up the kitchen and make something to work. Needed to sit down after standing all day so I sat down to peruse the web and drink a decaf mocha. I have champagne, but I just don't want it. I have to really be in the mood for alcohol; I...

    Lunch, Anybody?

    YUM

    What's for Dinner?

I need ideas. I'm so tired that it might be a quesadilla. I'm not super hungry.

Ladies, what are you doing this evening?

I'm currently watching How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I was thinking of going to Macy's to look at boots, but the streets are slippery and my brakes aren't the best. Fortunately I'm stocked up on food. I have to work at 9:00 am but maybe I could get some baking done. I don't need to, but...

    Lunch, Anybody?

That's a more apt name than chili (chilly :D)

What was the last TV show you watched?

^Me, too. I somehow ended up with two copies. I should watch it this week.

What was the last TV show you watched?

I'm watching a made-for-TV movie. Does that count? It's one of those cheesy Christmas romances that I find entertaining for whatever reason. I had to look up the gorgeous leading man: Thomas Beaudoin. I find that unless he's in the Edwardian suit with the beard I don't like him at all. Of...

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

Here's one: every time I've bought a car from a friend we've messed up the process and it's resulted in letters from the DMV or getting stopped because registration isn't in the system, or what-have-you. The process is confusing to my little brain and at this point I still couldn't list all...

    What's for Dinner?

I had some parmesan "chicken" and a whole bunch of toast with jam. And some wine. Ridiculous.

Every year here whenever we have the first snow people instantly forget how to drive for the conditions. I can count on sirens nearly every time.

I come back here after a couple of days and....I did what? All that stuff about being tough in winter was directed at myself and illustrating the midwestern mindset.

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

I don't for a few reasons: --I'm just being wimpy about it. I live in WI, which I chose to do. I've endured actual temps below 0 (-17) several times. I should be able to deal with the 30s. It's just that we just came off some nice weather. --Delivery costs extra. If I'm going to do that I...

    What's for Dinner?

I'ts a bit early for dinner (4:30) but I just had homemade split pea soup. I am going to have some toast with forest fruits jam and then make a vanilla malted, which I have wanted all day. It's one of those foraging nights. Ah, who am I kidding? Every night is like that....

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

I was feeling kind of Christmasy finally because we had a bit of snow this morning. I was at work in the climate-controlled building. But having to go out in the wind chill to the grocery store made me angry. I just couldn't not go; I was out of a lot of things.
