    What's for Dinner?

I think it is no sweet that you cook for your neighbor. Not everyone is willing to care for the aged.

    Rollers in public

Hilarious. What actually came to mind was the character Big Worm in Friday (the first movie):

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

Totally valid rant but I am amused at the thought that there's a lady who does this because she likes to: More power to her!

    Rollers in public

How about a man in rollers? I used to see that sometimes in southern California. It was usually those pink spongy ones.

Maine doesn't make sense. I could see this if you're getting a script for opioids but no one is abusing estrogen pills so there shouldn't be a hassle for those.

What do you do on wash day?

I find the actual hair care is easier because I wash less often and use less product since I'm not trying to have perfect curls. I practice what some forum-mates call "benign neglect" wherein I generally brush them out and wear it up in some way most of the time. I supposed I should wash at...

What do you do on wash day?

Thank you! I dream of knee length but I wonder how long it'll be before I can't handle it anymore.

On hot water: why don't more houses in the U.S. have hot water on demand? I hear it's common in Germany and maybe other countries in Europe. Sure, houses have been built with heaters and I'm sure the owners want to use those until they die, but at the heater's demise why doesn't anyone...

Sharing Coconut Oil Experiences for the ladies....

Yes, but I prefer refined for cooking because virgin has a slight taste to it. I like eggs fried in coconut oil better than in butter. The fat really intensifies the flavor of the eggs and I digest coconut better than any other fat out there.

What do you do on wash day?

I like 20s/30s fashion but my hair is Victorian. :/

    Autumnal Thoughts........

All the leaves are off the trees but I refuse to take down autumn decor and put up Christmas until after Thanksgiving. The gorgeous colors are still in my living room at least.

Much Needed Advice Concerning a Home Permanent?

I have wondered on more than one occasion if it would be viable to perm hair on sponge rollers in a vintage set pattern or perm pin curls if there were such a thing as plastic bobby pins or some kind of plastic clips. I'm afraid to perm my hair for fear of damage but maybe it would work for...

What do you do on wash day?

I mean hair washing day. I don't heat style at all because I don't want damage (trying to get to ridiculous length). Therefore, it must air dry and that takes 6 hours with it down. I've tried washing at night but it doesn't dry because I have to braid it, else it tangles. So I guess on wash...

    Rollers in public

I've never worn rollers in public. If I don't have time to set my hair I put it in a bun or some kind of up-do. Well, it's too long to set at this point anyway, but when it was shorter--same thing.

What's the best modern electric tool you use for your vintage hair styles.

I sometimes use my Caruso steam curlers. They're easier than sleeping on rollers.

Sharing Coconut Oil Experiences for the ladies....

I'm one of those long haired ladies and I use it on my ends. Grapeseed is actually better for that. I have a small jar on my desk at work and I put it on my cuticles a couple of times a day and sometimes use it as a hand lotion. It's fantastic for frying. I do a blend of refined coconut oil...

    What's for Dinner?

I had a sandwich: Italian bread, smoked turkey, avocado, bacon, a little mayo. I might have it on a croissant tomorrow.

    Autumnal Thoughts........

It's been consistently in the 40s here . For some reason in the office it's ridiculously cold. My colleague wears his coat all day. I honestly think the AC is still running. I wore a sweater today and I had to put on my wool wrap. I'm comfortable at home. I haven't even officially turned...

    What's for Dinner?

Penne with marinara, meatballs, olive oil, and parmesan.

I think it goes further back to Clara Bow but that depends on whether one finds her sexy.
