    Unsanforised denim will shrink in all areas: waist, inseam, knee, crotch... One should always presoak before they start wearing their jeans or before having them hemmed.     Schott 141 size 38 with a 21 PTP? My Schott 641HH (which fits one size smaller than the 141) size 36 has a 21 PTP. According to this size chart the PTP on a 141 size 38 is 23".

    I have no experience with shower treatments but I don't think you'll end up shrinking the jacket. Water will get the jacket wet, making it easier for the jacket to mould to your shape.
