We had 10 inches of snow on the ground yesterday with temperatures in the 20s and strong winds blowing. By noon today it's 58 degrees, sunny and calm. Let the melting begin.
I've already been able to mould my granddaughter after me, sometimes to the horror of her mother. :)
I wish I'd been able to spend the kind of time I've been able to spend with my two older grandchildren that I have with the two younger ones. We're all close, but due to having kept the two...
The snow is about 10" deep, the temperature is around 24 degrees, and the wind is blowing about 16 mph. It's too damn cold out. Just going out to feed the animals and gather the eggs is an "adventure" in itself. I'm going to head back inside and try to warm up.
My 91 year old father-in-law hamming it up in the big snow we're getting today. For someone 91 years old, or as he would say, "91 and a half" ( his birthday is in May), he sometimes acts like a 16 year old. He's the best!
Keeping up with the snow pictures, here's my new Spanish-American War era campaign hat (that I got for Christmas this year). I've had occasion to wear it on a couple outings while hiking, but today is its first time in any kind of bad weather. We'll see how it holds up after today.
