Indeed, they should show the beautiful and intricate interiors JHS produced. The more examples from this firm I see the more I am inclined to think that they were the finest hat manufacturing firm in the world.
Steve, those are all jaw-dropping melones! And seem to be in fantastic condition as well. I was particularly impressed with the removable liner model. The good news is that the seller agreed to ship the hat to the states so it should be here sometime in June.
Thanks, Steve. I'm trying to get the seller to ship the hat from Burgstädt to the U.S. They didn't offer international shipping but accepted my offer knowing I have an American address. Fingers crossed we can come to an arrangement. Its one of the oldest JHS stiff felts I've seen. Do you...
Sold in 2013 by our very own Dinerman but haven't bothered to take additional photos until now

I forgot Stefan does not like the green. This color seems to be the only one I'm missing from Huckel (black, blue, brown, burgundy and an assortment of greys have already been acquired). Hopefully, it will clean up nicely and is larger than the 53cm the seller quoted it to be.
Happy with the price on this one:
