Here is a pristine example of an English tuxedo hat. Made sometime prior to February 1952 when George VI died.
Scott & Co (Hatters to H.M. the King)
No size labels under the sweatband. My measurements indicate a size 7 1/8
Measures 22.5" interior circumference and 6.5" wide by 8" length. So a bit of a long oval in shape.
Black on Black
2 1/4" Bound Brim (underside of brim entirely covered in grosgrain)
2" Ribbon with decorative tattered edge
5 1/2" Crown
$100 Shipped USPS Priority to the lower 48
