This is going to make no one happy but there is no "original trench coat". Sure, they were used in the Great War, but they were not an official issue item, and were usually worn only by officers who purchased them privately from clothing stores, so there was little "uniformity" about them, which...
to management: Maybe this can be rolled into the big trench coat thread?

to Gray Saint, it's 99% likely to be a coat whipped up by the costume department, or rented out by a costume supply company to the production...
Understood, it sucks how certain types of clothing are only available geographically. Mind you, the design of those dusters in Pale Rider is pretty simple and crude, basically a single-breasted overcoat with extra-long skirts and patch pockets. So if you have someone who is a good seamstress and...
Another option with different styling is Scully Rangewear:

Heavy canvas, corduroy collar and cuffs. I had emailed them last year and here's the official measurements:
Finally got to wear the Mil-Tec repro parka in serious Canadian cold and it was close to useless. How did anyone survive winter in Korea in these things? Even a hundred layers of clothing underneath would make little difference I'm sure.
Anyways, you can check out some photos of vintage parkas...
I find it amazing that I'm the most recent person to post in this thread, back in May 2019. Anyways, this remains the best thread in which to post questions/info/pics/etc about 'original' RAF shearling.
Those were all made by Taylors, when they still made their jackets in the USA. The "Dean's Crew" and "Pauline's Crew" thing is a reference to the individual production teams in the factory as far as I can tell. It's not a brand name or a separate company. It's all Taylors.
Gibson & Barnes did an NYPD coat for a while but the sizing was tentlike, like all their stuff in their later years. I'm sure it was well made although the leather in photos appeared to be more of a flight jacket leather. Branded Leathers in Brooklyn made NYPD coats until recently and to my eye...
There's a police supply store in Philly which sells uniforms to the police (can't remember the name, but some internet searching should bring it up). A few years back they said they would sell me a Philly jacket (correct version with pockets, not the NYPD one) but they couldn't ship...
Yeah she's amazing, I wanted to see more of her, too. She was modeling for an account on e-bay but that seller doesn't have anything listed anymore so I guess he/she isn't active.
Edit: here's the seller:

^ Further to this post... I have worn each repro parka in the same weather conditions (sunny, -5C, mid-morning, no snow, no wind) and the Unilets/Rothco one is better: more comfortable fit, warmer, and with a larger hood. I'm sure the shell on the Mil-Tec one would be better in snow and esp wet...
