    It's a Homburg. I steamed the dents to a pinch front to give it a little western flare. It came with gutter crown and pencil roll brim.

    Need to get some oil from my hands in it. That does the trick on Silverbellys. It will look better with age.

    From looking at old pics Don wore different bands over the years from yellow to gold. They all had yellow corn beads. He also wore 3 different colors of hat Silerbelly, Sand, and Pecan although they all had the same shape.

    Got my Don Williams hat done. Started with a 3X Resistol 6" Open Crown. Cut the 4" brim to 3". Put a 1 1/2" Brown Ribbon hatband on it. Sanded the pinch down to add wear hole. Crown is 5.5" tall in front and 4.5" in back. It looks too new I need to wear it some.:):)

    I have been trimming my brims since the mid 80's. Now a 4" or bigger brim looks huge to me. Most of my Stetson and Resistol's are cut to 2.75" or 3".

    Cleaning a Vintage Nintendo Baseball Cap

    You can wash a baseball cap in the sink with warm water and dish washing soap. Then form the bill and let it dry. As far as ink bleeding I think you're screwed.
