I got a reply from Holly this evening, following the pics I emailed to her. She thought that the fit looked good, but if I found it restrictive in arms and chest then perhaps moving to a 46" that tapers down to the opening of a 44" might be in order. Especially if I wanted to layer up what so...
How are you finding it ages, with wear? Does it develop darker patches as some vegetable tanned leathers do? As opposed to the lighter patches the CXL seems to get. Oh, and I love the colour of the seal Vicenza too
Looks like you kept the internal kidney panel... how are you liking the way it looks on the outside, with the reduced creasing? I think I'll keep the clean back like yours, but maintain the internal kidney panel. I MUCH prefer the look of the back of your jacket to the look of my fit jacket...
@ton312 Did you sell it in the end, due to the issues? If so, what did you replace it with? It looks great standing still, really does. I sympathise with the dance to get it off.
With arms and chest I'm a wee bit concerned about the similar max capacity issue, especially when I hit the...
I'm veering towards the same opinion on all of the above as you. Definitely we agree fit wise, and probably leather choice too- I look forward to handling all the samples that are on their way to me, but at this stage I lean towards Vicenza.
My girlfriend is also trying to sway me towards a...
I agree with a lot of that. 1/2 size small- yep. Longer body needed- yep. With pics taken at head height it doesn't look as short as it is. Giant yellow head is my stand-out feature ;) Only disagree about the shoulders, they're fine, but my lats are big, that's where the jacket pulls taught...
That's good to hear, and thanks for the tip, I sent Holly the circumference measurements of my arms. I assumed the arms were just fixed size for each style of jacket and tag size.
Warmth clearly made a difference today, when I first put it on cold it was ridiculous. I can't wear this one for more than a few minutes, though, as it's not mine to keep and needs to be returned in the condition I received it.
Some fit pics, please excuse the state of my living room, and untucked t-shirt :) (In fairness its a really short t shirt that only just covers up the belt):
Luckily this is just a fit jacket, it was always getting sent back. With this being my very first wear of any jacket of comparable weight I was genuinely wondering if if was just the leather causing the arm movement issues, and wanted to check with you lot that this is abnormal.
The leather...
@Monitor @Fanch Thanks for the replies. The sleeves definitely are too tight on this jacket, which is maybe why it got sent back to sit on the rejects pile? The chest is fine, if snug, it's all down to the arms when I think of it. My arms are hardly huge, but I do lift weights and play a lot...
Just tried the jacket on for a second time, with it having spent the afternoon in my centrally heated house, and it was definitely more pliable than when I received it, ice cold out of the delivery van. I think the chest fit is snug but fine, and the jacket seemed to sit just on my belt than...
I almost don't want it to be a size too small because it looks pretty sharp, tight as it is :D It's only snug in he chest/underarms area, shoulders are perfect and waist could even come in an inch or so. But yes, I need the extra 2inches, I can't have a jacket floating above my belt, that's...
