None of the hats in the videos are really my style,. I thought the videos & new colors were interesting & decided to share the videos with the group.

For the majority of summer, I've been wearing linen caps.
Back in July, I picked up a wool Wigens newsboy with a quilted lining. I wore regularly to break it in & was surprised that it wasn't too hot.
A few weeks ago, I picked up an Akubra Stylemaster and it rarely leaves my head. ❤️

I spent 40+ years working in a manufacturing environments. Aside from working 12 years at my last employer, I was never at any company more than 5-6 years. They'd go out of business, move to another state. Most didn't have pensions & one laid me off just before I was fully vested.

Also just got my old (2002) Stetson Chatham Sovereign back from deep cleaning & re-flanging. It had bad finger oil stains on the brim that I couldn't get off. The brim had gone completely floppy.
After having lost 81 lbs, this size 7 1/2 is now too big on me. I'm going to add some foam...
Grey Bailey litefelt Curtis. I hated the matching color band that came with it. JJ hat replaced it with this one. [emoji106][emoji3590]

Here's some other new models of Stetson for 2020
I retired 3 1/2 years ago. A month after I retired, I was diagnosed with stage 1 melanoma cancer on my face.
It was the result of spending 4 years on or near the equator while in the US Navy. Wearing Military issued Baseball caps and not wearing sunscreen certainly didn't help.
It took...
My sweet spot is pretty close to what the Akubra Stylemaster hat is;
4-1/4 inches at the front, rising to 4-3/4 inches on the side and then down to 3-7/8 inches in the back. My Stetson Chatham is 4 1/2 inches at the crown.
I'm thinking about getting the Adventurer in moonstone color. It's...
When you buy formed hats, you know immediately if the crown height is a good look or not.
But when buying an open crown; how do you know if it's too tall to begin with?
Will you still be able to get it low enough to look right?

This is what I'm concerned about with the adventurer's crown & not being able to get it low enough to look right. [emoji2].

I've had my Cobalt grey Stylemaster for about a week now. Been wearing it a lot & best of all my wife likes it.
But I'm thinking that it's a little too dressy looking for walking trails, puttering around the house and yard.
I've been reading posts and now I'm looking for some advice.

I tried to wear it with the brim up & down. She's just not a fan of me in shorter brimmed hats.
After a lot of trial and error, I tend to agree with her. I don't look good in hats with less than a 2" brim.
Nice hat. I wish I could wear a pork pie hat. But they're not on my wife's approval list. . I bought one years ago and she hated it on me so much that I had to take it back to the store.
