Sorry Steve, I have scheduled the auction to begin at 6PM EST. I will update the link once that time has passed.
Up for auction is my Vanson Comet Plu-3 Black Leather Cafe Racer. The “Plu-3” simply means that this Comet is +3 inches longer than the standard comet. This means it wears like a...
I am selling my black Vanson Comet PLU-3 Competition weight black cafe racer. Please follow link for details. If I could sell outside ebay to a forum member that would save me some fees.
I started the listing at $250, but I am hoping to get $300+ by end of auction...
Up for sale is a Thedi Leather Belt I bought in March 2015. This belt was handmade in Greece by Thedi Leather Company. This belt's centermost hole is 41", with 3 holes on either side of this mark. The belt is an overall 49" long, but a few inches of this belt is "overlapped" when worn. This...
Good morning fellow loungers,
Up for sale is a brown CXL Aero Highwayman. I am working on getting current photos of the wear and break-in for an ebay listing that I will be creating later this morning. Once I get the photos done, I will update this site.
All of the brown Aeros that I have...
Aerofan,
I am always happy to hear about my old Sheene and that it is still in good hands and being worn regularly. I would love to see a photo of it again when/if you get the chance. That jacket is hard to beat. My new one is just a tad below it in regards to fit and I do sometimes miss it.
As far as shrinkage goes, I believe it has a lot to do with
1.The jacket getting wet and...
2. ...more importantly, drying too quickly (laying on a radiator, out in the sun, etc.)
At least that is what I think happened to mine, so I bought a jacket that is just large enough to suffer this...
No, I actually sold the Sheene due to it being too tight and the sleeves shrinking too short. I bought this one a little large to account for shrinking. I know many of you have not had a shrinking problem with your Aero jackets, but my experience is that they get a little more snug after...
My relatively new highwayman is more and more becoming an everyday wear piece. It is breaking in nicely and developing a great patina. Thought I'd show a photo of the jacket not only worn, but "in action".
:)
Wow! Thank you for all of your responses. I thought I had subscribed to this thread, so with no emails, I assumed there were no responses.
Where to start...
1. I am glad it is leather.
2. I am glad there is no suspicion in the group that it is fake.
3. I am glad you guys (at least one of...
So this past week, I bid on and won an ebay auction for a Willis and Geiger A2. It has a Scovill "gripper zipper", but I cannot get past the extremely light feel and the fact that the hang-loop and the tag is off-center. It "smells old" so it appears to be old. Why would someone fake a jacket...
