The problem (for me) is looking at these "brand new" pics of the blue jackets. With a reasonable amount of wear, these things will look completely different.

I'm very taken with the shawl collar arrangement on this one. The lower lapel (complete with buttonhole) is leather, but the upper and back are knitted. I don't think I've ever seen a recreation of that style. Fascinating! And grey suede, too! Thanks again DM:D;)
Wrangler are certainly still around. Aero have stocked some of their repro stuff. A lot of their current stuff is, sadly, a little derivative.

The acid test with this kind of stuff is what it will look like after the newness has been knocked off of it.
Any chance of kicking the sample around (a bit of HWT, and rubbing it with screwed up newspaper partially does the trick), just so we can see what it is gonna be like after a few months...
On the thick FQHH that Aero uses, inside pockets, particularly behind similarly placed outside pockets, equals BULK.
If, like say, PL, you like bulky jackets, then that is cool.
