This hat is probably from the 1950s. Borsalino makes a modern version called Alessandria. I've never seen or worn the modern version so I can't compare.
If you can find a vintage edition you will have a great hat--lightweight and beautifully made, with felt that is easy to shape...
Eliesti--try Gary Cohen at the Hat Store, Richmond at Chimney Rock. I'm not sure whether he can match the brim treatment, but he's probably your best bet in Houston.
Thanks, Eric. All credit to Art for taking the raw material (Winchester beaver felt bodies) and making a superior hat. I'll take these over any modern production hat any day, and because of the precise fitting they have a leg up on a lot of the vintage finds, which are hit or miss as far as fit...
