Thanks, guys. I wore my '50s 3X today, brim down and diamond-creased. It's the hat I'm wearing in the avatar photo. It still has the original $15 price tag. I find the felt quality to be about the same as the 25. There may be a difference in fur content, but it doesn't feel or appear to be that... -

Ebay trials and tribulations---I got this Stetson 25 in a box marked "Fragile". The postal service must not have noticed. The hat was not packed well to begin with. But it cleaned up nicely. -

I can somewhat understand the sale price on this size 7 1/2 3X OR, it's an early to mid-60s hat that was made by the original Stetson folks, in a larger size. But the other one, the recent-issue Hatco product....mob-psychology is the only explanation.
