Hi Seb, yes the for sales page on here, eBay and Etsy etc account for a lot of jackets described as hardly worn, as new, perfect etc, and that can account for anything so as not to loose resale value which I personally see as not getting the full enjoyment from something. It looks as though...
Everyone wants a jacket that looks 30 years old, from my own experience the only way to get it looking like that is to wear it for 30 years ;)
Ps,I think thats a wasp rather than a bee
I have just purchased a pair of Aero's Town boots and would like to know if there is a correct way to lace these. They have both lace holes but also the quick release tabs at the top part, of which there are 4. Militery or civilian styles would also be interesting.
Is there a page here or link...
I'm not up on DHLs international procedure but they seem to be Aero's default carrier for UK orders. Looking at the picture of the prepared shipping packages they did well for me, Got my items within 24 hrs. Well done the Aero packing team :)
Haha. I call it The headless Horseman simply because most folks on here always miss out their heads when showing fit pics, not always, but I usually do show my ugly mug.
I would have a cordovan as opposed to simply brown but do I need two coats the same just different colours? No as my Teamster...
I have one and it does not have the back loop, but then it is about 15 years old and a very slight custom. Often I tuck the belt and buckle up behind if I may plan on removing the jacket frequently.
I would not normally revert to the Headless Horseman shots but I thought you may be more...
Yes a gorgeous jacket/coat. I have one in black steer and love it. Fit looks good and I do like the way Aero will tell you it looks ok and it is, rather than just sell you something you look crap in just to take your money.
One BIG thing I don't like about the modern office culture is the so called Dress Down Friday syndrome. Luckily this does not affect me but should I ever have to have office time I would certainly wear my shiniest shoes and best suit complete with tie and fedora, maybe even the 'Chinatown'...
Many thanks for those 'Benny', just what I was looking for. All I found were half shots of the back. I have to say I first noticed the pleat detail as 'Gittes' was getting out of a car. I also have a Harris Tweed shooting jacket with the detail but the rest is totally different to a suit...
Hi all :)
I would like to have a jacket made with a bit of vintage flair about it. Having viewed Chinatown a while back Jack wears a light coloured suit with centre pleated back. I would also like to collect all details such as if it has a half belt, peaked lapels, patch pockets etc.
With the...
I had a chance to try Pike Brothers deck jacket(N1 style) at a recent music festival in the UK, the Rockerbilly Rave. I found both the 'L' and 'XL' to have obviously different sized body but very similar length arms, though the bulkiness of the XL jacket made it appear much to large for me...
Not a bad price at all when you consider a second hand Aero or Eastman often sell for £300+. OK, they are up there with the best, but that was what you get in a broad range of authenticity, quality and details.
Buy it, then put it back on with better photo's, price it low but more than you paid...
I certainly could d with some road info. When I went to the sale a couple of years back, I did mostly motorway to get there quick. Arrived at my digs at 3pm and no one was there, whats more it started raining haha.
Heading home I set off to go home through the Lakes and ended up back on the A1...
Not sure yet but I was hoping to take a trip to Aero this summer, spent loads already this year so a bit cautious with the £££.
The jacket featured in the original post is probably a 40 but I will have to check, as you are aware they are tailor made for each office.
Cheers, J.
Update.
Got myself a bigger jacket that does up but the trousers are a bit on the tight side, also I think the trousers are from another set as there are zip teeth showing on one half being 30mm longer. It is the same style as in my original post but has not had a Police badge or epaulet...
A great style but not the colour in my opinion. The logo is what you get with modern stuff I'm afraid and the styling is a bit retro, similar to a zip sleeved Highwayman. I do think the sleeves are a little wide, maybe they need a little contouring which probably causes the bunching at the elbow...
Mrs went to see this with her friend. Both were Elton John fans starting in the 1970s and reckon that was his best era, and both thought the film was great.
Me? I'm not a big fan but have to agree this was his best time.
