I haven’t had a jacket with them yet but I think they look good. I wonder if they’ll get caught in a door handle but then again pant belt loops to sometimes too lol

Slightly too large but the slim jeans make it look larger than it really is. It’s not a bad vintage cut actually, some straighter fit pants would bring that out.
There was a very nice Sterling horsehide and sheepskin barnstormer on eBay for a while but I never bit and now it’s gone, oh well! Always seemed a bit too small but I don’t see them lately.

Brands do not necessarily do their own pattern work, an experienced pattern maker will do a better job. Often pattern makers work at or for the “factory” themselves (most sewing factories/workshops in Japan are quite small).

Not sure if this can of worms bears opening but when did ‘Cossack’ come to mean a shawl collar jacket? Every vintage catalog lists Cossack jackets as a sport jacket with size strap adjusters regardless of the collar.
