Great question.
I have 13 leather jackets (not including actual armoured motorcycle jackets) at last count which is a ridiculous number for the climate here however, the way I'm looking at it is, they are already paid for, I like them all and I don't need the money back that I'd get for selling...
I "grab n go" a leather jacket 99% of the time when I head out, weather permitting of course. The one way I can justify sinking so much money into this ridiculous hobby is actually getting some use out of them!
My winter grab n go are definitely my either the ELMC Windward or the ELMC J-100...
Honestly, it sounds like a gimmick but this umbrella is awesome, even as just an umbrella. I've had mine for over 10 years and its still like new...

Pricey?
$300 is an absolute bargain for a new jacket today, most of the new stuff here is approaching $3000 these days....where are you shopping @Monitor
Skip the first few minutes about the dodo bird and there is an interesting story from Adam Savage of Mythbusters fame about his quest for the Falcon.

I've tried a few times to have some custom alterations (but nothing as big a job as resizing the shoulders) and I ended up selling both as the end result wasn't really what I was after. I'm going agains the grain her but in my experience it isn't worth it.
Looks great. I cant really see anything that would to be tweaked in a future order. As a few of the guys have mentioned, these jackets do mould over time so the fit will just get more and more comfortable.
I agree with @Carlos840 , although I'd add that the 3-4 shinki jackets I've owned have all been slightly stiffer than the ELMC jackets that I own as well, all of my ELMC jackets have a softer hand, if that's the term.
The other difference is my The Flat Head jacket and from memory my DD J100...
No offence to anyone but at some point you need to be able to just decide "I really like the jacket even if the obsessive compulsives don't think its a perfect fit" and wear the jackets you like...the fit is fine, the 42 isn't perfect but it doesn't look "bad" or the wrong size.
