CXL and Eastman leather are totally different beasts, almost opposite ones.
Eastman leather is way too much thinner in comparison with CXL but drapes very nice and has lovely grain.

Basically this. The way the ELMC fits your body - glove like. It is thinner so it’s a trade off, but it’s definitely not flimsy by any means.

Surely it isn't flimsy, it's quite sturdy despite being thinner than CXL. Love Eastman leather, good choice for summer/early spring/early autumn wearing.
Wish this one to be walnut brown and in size 42!)

Well, way too much is possibly an expression which is a bit on a side of exaggeration, more correct expression would be noticeably thinner, which is of course doesn't mean weaker or flimsy, not at all. Eastman leater is quite sturdy and very very nice, I like the way it usually drapes and love its grainy appearance. To me it'd be hard to choose which leather I like more - Eastman leather or Horween CXL, it depends on the weather and on the current mood of course) That's why I've written that idea of having both, that's why it'd possibly be a better alternative to just choosing only one from two very very nice leathers.

I've handled two Eastman jackets, the leather could be described as anything but flimsy or thin. I didn't find it any thinner than most CXL I've handled, just a lot softer. Eastman HH is at the top of the list of my fav leather and it's much more stunning irl than what any pics make it out to be.

Terry Mitchell made a video about this jacket and it sounds like he really loves it. Thats why I am so corious about it.
How is the fit? Is it slim fit?

This is a very nice jacket, and definitely on my list to acquire someday. The leather is soft yet quite substantial mid weight, 3 oz, vegetable tanned and aniline dyed Italian horsehide. The elastic sides bring it in tight, but it is quite flexible, doesn't feel too snug, and offers plenty of mobility. I have been looking for a 46L for a while.
