I had the 613sh for a while and I regret to this day I sold it......it was definitely the thickest house horsehide they offer. 3.5oz throughout but and heavier than regualr 613 but the leather was almost spongey so light and drapes, and creases and rolls amazingly. Its not cxl or shinki but its...
Yes and I don’t like that haha. Personally again, no offense to the poster at all…just some cooler and better in my opinion options out there. I think you and I have seen have similar tastes.
If youre 100% set on these two then its the 519 all day. If I could help persuade as someone above already has go for one of the 613-618 variants. The 618 is cut more like the one stars of the past, minus the actual stars. So I bought a 618hh and then bought stars and put them on myself. The...
Yeah Kreosote is brutal wait times. Because it’s literally Gabbard the owner. No other staff. And he does everything you can do by hand and hand tool by hand and hand tool and uses old classic machinery for what needs machines. Plus like I said in my post earlier he also hand stains, died...
Same to a degree. I don’t like 90% of JDs not my thing. But I really love the Sinatra select. They have two versions one is 200 and one is 400. Never bought the 400 and never will. It’s an even more premium version of something I know love. But if I’m spending 400 I want it to last. But I like...
Sorry to hear that Buffalo is a bit of a hidden gem. Can’t claim we’re big or have the best of anything. But we have great food, great bars, sports fanatics for Bills and Sabres. Waterfront activities on the lake. Not far from the Falls or Canada. And some of the nicest people. We come together...
Gabbard the owner of Kreosote in my opinion is the best North American maker. Stuff is outrageous but all the highest quality materials and similar to Thedi he does lots of coats and special dyes. And does it almost all of it by hand just by himself. Expensive? Yes. Amazing? Also yes.
Similar experience. I love The Clash and bassist Paul Simonon was my style icon I learned to play bass in 9th grade and can play rhythm just chords and power chords like Strummer or Johnny Ramone.
I think its just people in general outside of our niche. Most people dont ride, most people are not into heritage, most people dont count stitches, or know how to spot the difference in zippers. Most people either dont care how they look, or care how they look and have slight interest in things...
Sizing and fit is so hard because it varies by style and intent. Cross zips fit and look different than half belts which are different than truckers and so on. Then do we want to layer under them or just a tee? Are you using it to ride or as a fashion statement piece? Do you want to in a way...
Yup I wished I looked as cool as @ton312 in any of his jackets. Or @MrProper for that matter too. You both really have your style and sizing dialed in.
Can Dena do the buttons as well? Cause I agree with you. It’s still a killer jacket really. So if it were me while I’d 100% be disappointed as well 5 Star overall has been very good to @ton312 and screwed up one thing. Fix the sleeves, see if the buttons can be redone if not just remove them and...
Yeah no sense. Been done to death here. So anyone curious you can do some searches and find the answers if you’re unaware. For those that are aware everyone has already picked a side or moved on. Good call.
Over the years they have worked their way away from just being Aero with different leathers and offer a lot more and have entered mainstream realms as you’ve said through different stockists and collabs…..but for those who remember that it’s hard to move on from, hard to forgive all that.
