Just be aware that vintage as good and nice as it is can't take the same beating as new stuff. Once your seams start ripping apart or leather getting damaged...you'll know what I'm talking about :D
I've seen the 38 on Buyee a few times relisted for around 1400-1500€ or so which is like $1800 I'm sending you the link right now on here an IG, wherever you see it first.
Keep your eyes open and they appear, I think with the old label.
EDIT: I sent you two links to 2 different jackets both...
The Darius in the sunlight. I haven’t worn it since Spring started though.
@Carlos840 I wear mine in the rain without worrying about it. As you mention they get spots when wet but when dry they blend in and the grain pops up.
The Darius above was sprayed with water until fully soaked...
I ride a Vespa PX 150 but I mostly walk these days. I've had it since 2012 or so I think after my Honda SH 125cc sport got stolen. It's all stock.
I don't care for expensive cars as we don't really need them here in Barcelona. Also with the disruptive alterations to the streets in Barcelona...
In my humble opinion I'd sell the Aero and keep the premium stuff. Wear them more. I don't think Aero compares to your other jackets.
As soon as I got the Sunset which fits me nice and the quality is great I stopped looking at other jackets until I found another Freewheelers like the Darius...
This may sound weird but I wish I had a friend or girlfriend whom I could share the passion with lol
I'd be buying leather jackets left and right. I've seen so many cool jackets over the years.
No. Never did a thing to them nor do I plan to.
At the most I would use a bit of Bick4 on the Sunset because I think it's quite old and some spots feel "dry" but it doesn't darken leather. I could take pics before and after when I do.
@Carlos840 I threw the jacket on the balcony and took two pics. Straight from the phone no filters nor anything.
The pockets and shoulders/collar area are the ones that darken the most with use.
You can see how the sun is shining bright:
I got it a bit lighter in colour but not that much...
Great jacket. Only thing I don't like are the epaulets, not my thing.
One could think that if JC stopped making sample or test jackets in his size he could have reduced the waiting list for years now and many customers would have gotten theirs ;)
I am surprised that it didn’t fit Robbie but fits you if it was small for him! I thought you wore a bigger size than him?
Great jacket and short back. Love short jackets.
Yes, it's very clear they won't change their price for overseas customers when other business are doing it.
There's two ways to see it:
- You're paying Taxes twice on the jacket , UK VAT and French VAT so you're given the short straw
- You're being charged more than a regular UK customer just...
As good as it gets! It looks perfect but only you can judge wether it feels restrictive or not.
I don’t think you should size up. Either this one or none at all. A bigger size would look big.
I honestly don't understand your points of view but I respect them. They're just garments to be worn, this is a piece of outerwear, nothing else. It is not a formal suit to be worn at a special occasion in my opinion that usually one wants to be pristine(and I do wear suits on the regular too...
