Got home and took the jacket out to the outside table again in a little more light to try and get the zippers & serial number. That serial # is nearly impossible to read, but it's still imprinted there.
The zippers are indeed a mixed bag, maybe an expert such as @photo2u may be able to tell...
We're close to the same size - I'm 6' 1" and ~ 195-200 lbs.
While I have not owned a Maxwell (smart jacket & choice, for sure) I would tend just a bit toward the larger size, since you would likely have a layer or two under it. I would think that's a good place to be...46.
Are you going...
*Just pay $ 25.00 CONUS Pay Pal F&F to have it shipped to you.

Thanks for the tip on this!
I will say there is something pretty special about this jacket, even being a bit dry the leather had a very good feel and weight but was not overly heavy. In fact, the jacket is only ~ 4.5 lbs overall. I'll check out & photo the zippers in more detail when I'm home...
First report on vintage Vanson Mercury - Tag size "44" that was just received. Photos shows below show the condition of this jacket "as received." A few details that I would say the following are true with this specific jacket.
- Has leather lined handwarmer pockets
- Has not had zippers on...
Not so much wearing, just trying out a couple incoming jackets. Both will wind up in the Classifieds soon. Gave each one a nice conditioning after photos were taken, these photos show them as received.
No-Name "Real Leather" cross-zip. Actually not too bad leather on this one, certainly...
I think it looks fantastic on you. And you clearly enjoy it!
There was a large motorcycle parts/accessories/bike swap meet near my home last week. I saw many jackets in much worse condition commanding more $$$ than yours. So I do not think that is too bad of a price. It appears to be a...
There is a lot of information about this out on the Internet - the "bad old days" of AMF (American Machine & Foundry) from 1969 - 1981. They outsourced much of the motorcycle parts & even bike themselves, and for a time produced snowmobiles. So it's not surprising that the jackets they offered...
Exactly this. Back in school I took a sales & Marketing class in the Agricultural area. Instructor had been a professional salesman for ~ 20 years. Had quite a few personal stories as you could imagine, but his biggest was of owning a classic British car - he would not take that car anywhere...
BLM14 - it is an awesome collection, and this fellow is a typical collector. Looks like it's all pretty recently added to ebay, so find a few that you know would fit (or at least come close) and watch them. Ask the seller some questions, re-check dimensions, etc, details about the jacket. See...
Bumping back up - try as I might, these are just a little bit too small for me.
Giving them one more good chance here before they go to ebay. Yes, they are amazing and the color depth of the HH is amazing on these.
Catch & Release here on a great pair of Wesco Hendrix. I picked these up from a well established member here, but they are just a bit too short in the Left foot for me. I am between 11 - 11.5 Brannock, for these you really need to be between 10.5 - 11 Brannock. Beautiful "teacore" leather is...
