    Thanks for the compliments on my Pilgrim. I found this old newspaper ad from 1947 that might be my hat. It has the too-perfect bash that would indicate it was pre-blocked, as the ad says. I steamed the pinches closer to match my personal preference. Not a bad hat for $2.89.

    Just got my new hat from Mike. A Whippet style in silver mist with 6-inch open crown and 2 5/8-inch brim. Threw a quick diamond bash into it. Needless to say, I am very pleased with how this turned out. Worth the wait! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I've got this beauty coming in the mail, hopefully tomorrow, from Mike at NW Hats. It's a Whippet clone, light grey with a dark grey ribbon and brim binding. I'm thinking it's a little lighter color than in this photo. Six-inch open crown, 2 5/8-inch brim. Can't wait!
