A review section would help many buyers, it helps to know what the steps entail when buying a jacket of any budget, it can be intimidating and people can make notes of things they should ask the maker.
I can’t wait for a future build which will have NOS vintage zippers
Thanks for your help, it...
Love the Avro, if I had more confidence that i could have pulled it off, I would have chosen that Avro.
I’ll definitely have to keep my weight in check to keep this fitting especially at these prices, I’d go on a broth diet or get a eating disorder like a swimsuit model
Here are some shots in...
*mods if this is inappropriate in its own thread feel free to move it to the Himel thread.
Warning this is a long read, and I wanted to thank everyone here that contributes to uuthis board for the knowledge you share with strangers. Those that spend their hard earned money on these...
I love the look of the M65 and my wife apparently did too because I received an Alpha m65 last year for Christmas and though is was a great jacket, I felt I looked ridiculous in a size large in which I was swimming in.
That and me being in the southern USA, it was overkill for my weather so it...
This might have already been posted but I didn’t see it.
Sometimes custom made jackets have funky measurements but this Langlitz would fit a good range of people and it’s like brand new.
22” p2p
18.5”shoulder
25.5”sleeve
26”length
20” hem...
Saw this one on Instagram and it stood out because of the collar.
Fit is great to me just a little short in the sleeves. Great jacket for someone with your build but 5’10”-5’11” maybe
Good luck with the sale it’s a beautiful jacket
That is a great jacket. Thanks for the info. Somehow I had it in my mind that many of these old thick vintage jackets were vegetable tanned and the chrome tanned started later in the 1960’s-1970’s where you see that cracked flaky leather which almost looks like vinyl peeling with white...
It makes an excellent boot I know that. I wonder how Badalassi compares to the good thick vintage steer hide that was used in the vintage 40’s and 50’s jackets that are still around. Before the 60’s 70’s jackets that had that shiny leather that peels.
Learned that first hand with my first purchase that new jackets no matter what brand have no resale value, maybe with a couple exceptions, for one the infamous Freewheelers Mulholland.
It’s almost better to buy with a bit more room to future proof it if you plan on keeping it for life.
It was...
I agree!
Well atleast in my short time here that the vast majority of vintage jackets that look like they have been in the closet for 30 years are small sized.
Then if vintage isn’t your thing then there are amazing deals on newer grail types like a few unused Thedi & Himel & Eastman jackets...
Vintage 1940s 40s WWII bomber motorcycle brown leather brass talon zipper jacket mens size small tight
That’s the description on Etsy
https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/732513471/vintage-1940s-40s-wwii-bomber-motorcycle
Reminds me of a Langlitz though with the neat but far spaced contrast stitching
I’ve seen this brand online, not a major following because of the service boot trend but if you search their name including Reddit, multiple people report positive reviews and good customer service if you have any problems.
Read the story, they actually moved production from Africa to their...
This reminds me of a picture someone posted of a Real McCoy J100 size 46 which they shortened, it just looked off.
You can get away with it, definitely looks better on than off and from the back it isn’t noticeable. Maybe try it with a different style of trousers, I am wondering how it looks...
It definitely looks similar, good grain out of the box, though It feels different, a softer hand than the only Shinki (a black pigment finish) that I have handled.
He told me it was chrome tanned then vegetable re tanned which I thought would be perfect with the sudden rainstorms here in...
I just wanted to post these because they are really good quality for the price. Keep in mind that just a simple Garrison belt goes for $200 if it comes in a Real McCoy box, you make beautiful jackets RMC but I will stay far away from the rest of their outrageous priced items.
I talked with...
