Hats and Drinks - A Match Made in Heaven

Etsuko says no. And she respectfully asks that you never recommend clothes for her husband again!:D

Hats and Drinks - A Match Made in Heaven

This evening’s selection…. This evening’s hat was a Bailey Toyo. I like dark chocolate (this is 82%) with my whisky.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

This is driving me nuts. Everyone is saying how wonderful it is, and for some reason, I can’t see the pictures. This has happened with Eric’s pictures before but they showed up when I switched networks. It’s not working for this post, though.

Hats and Drinks - A Match Made in Heaven

Every marriage has its ups and downs, but no one ever truly regretted marrying a bartender! As the mid 30s temperatures continue, nothing hits the spot like a frozen margarita. This is a nashi pear flavoured one made from ice blocks…at least that’s what they called in New Zealand. Over here...

What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

Envious of those temperatures. Those highs are lows for us here in Japan this year. We’re still up in the low to mid 90s every day. I picked up a couple of second hand Schotts over summer which I’m keen to try in the wild, and even more so, I want to get back into my felt hats. Still a while...

Hats and Drinks - A Match Made in Heaven

Curiosity got the better of me and we ordered some NEAT glasses. Comparing them with a Glencairn, we’ve been neither here, nor there. But over the last few days, we’ve had some Islay whiskies in them, and I must say, I think the NEAT glasses win with our small sample of Caol Ila, Classic...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Not fair! I’m in the reverse situation. So few straws, so much time. My straw collection pales in comparison to my felts, but these mid 30s temperatures are set to continue through September.:(

    Hawaiian shirts and fedoras

Okay, the Akubra Range doesn’t strictly qualify as a fedora. As for the shirt, I’ve been looking at Hawaiian shirts for a while now, but haven’t come across anything that really appeals here in Japan. What I did hit upon was Kariyushi shirts. This is Okinawa’s version of a Hawaiian shirt...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

I haven’t been posting much lately. High temperatures and a sparse collection of straw means I would be constantly repeating myself. Anyhow, today it was a Panama for shopping and an Akubra Range for a dinner outing.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Great lineup as always. Very jealous of all the felt hats on here recently. I snuck one onto my head in the evening after rain from the typhoon had cooled things down a bit, but now that’s passed, we’re back into the mid 30s (low to mid 90s F) and still humid and sticky.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

I’ve obviously seen a few of your Tina-made Aloha shirts. In fact I’ve been inspired to look for a nice aloha shirt for myself. I haven’t had much luck finding one that speaks to me. After hearing about Tina’s difficulty with staying still, I actually thought that maybe she’d like to sit down...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

The calm after the storm (the typhoon wasn’t half as bad as expected). Very pleasant outside, wearing the Akubra Blue Mountains. I find this one an awkward one in my collection. I wanted a big brim and I love the hat band with the feather. I like the hat a lot, but it’s difficult to find a...
